Denman Island
Camping with a baby: this was one of the unknowns of our trip but little C handled camping like a champ.Fillongly Provincial Park: Our campsite was connected to the beach via a small trail. The boys had a great time having free range bike/scooter time (this is the first time we've let them go off on their own). We collected a lot of sandollars and shiny black rocks from the beach.
The Beadnell Homestead: The land that used to house the Beadnell mansion was left preserved. This land is a part of the provincial park as the Beadnell family donated the land to be used as a park.
Hornby Island
GIANT cookies almost as big as your head!Tribune Bay didn't disappoint and the grandparents came to visit us for a beach day. We even managed to convince the grandparents to take the boys for an overnight so we could spend a night on Hornby (almost) kid-free.

Parksville: Mini-Golf/Bumper Boats
We surprised the kids with mini-golf/bumper boats on our drive from Courtney to Tofino. They had a blast and the pirate boat was a big hit too!
Tofino
All those months of research on beach sun tents and we ended up using a home-made shade fortress made of driftwood.
